AFTER a thoroughly enjoyable tournament and 16 days of watching eight teams battle it out in four different locations, it was the Germans that came out on top.

OUR last few hours in Halmstad passed as slowly as any, with hostel check out time at 11 o’clock, but the train south to Malmo not until 2:35pm.

SPAIN won their first match of the tournament but it wasn’t enough to seal a passage to the semi-finals.
